Samsung CF398 Design Picture

Curved Yes

Bend radius 1800R

Weight (without stand up) vii.ix lbs (three.half-dozen kg)

Weight (with stand) 9.0 lbs (iv.1 kg)

The Samsung CF398 has a decent, but basic design. Overall it is similar to the LG 24MP59G. It can exist VESA mounted, which is dainty as the stand has only basic ergonomics, and at that place is no cablevision management. Information technology has decent build quality, simply is made of plastic and feels inexpensive. Overall, you shouldn't have any issues with it though.

Samsung CF398 Stand picture

Width 18.v" (47.0 cm)

Depth ix.6" (24.iv cm)

The stand has a very large footprint, similar to the Samsung CHG70. When the monitor is nudged in that location is niggling wobble, but the stand up doesn't feel very sturdy.

Samsung CF398 Ergonomics picture

Height Adjustment 0.0" (0.0 cm)

Switch portrait/landscape No

Swivel Range North/A

Tilt Range -22.five° to two.5°

Update 07/02/2021: We previously had incorrectly listed the Acme Adjustment as 'N/A' as opposed to '0'. The review has been updated to reflect this alter, as the Ergonomics score has dropped slightly.

Unfortunately, the Samsung CF398 has terrible ergonomics. The stand can merely tilt, and so information technology is hard to place it in an ideal viewing position, and it may exist preferable to VESA mount information technology.

Samsung CF398 Back picture

Wall Mount VESA 75x75

The back of this monitor is very plain. At that place are grooves beyond the unabridged back, and all of the inputs face up out of the back, which isn't platonic if VESA mounted. There is no cable management.

Samsung CF398 Borders picture

Borders 0.6" (1.five cm)

The borders are thin and await adept. There is very little gap betwixt the bezel and the first pixels.

Samsung CF398 Thickness picture

Thickness (with stand up) 7.5" (19.1 cm)

Thickness (without stand) four.2" (10.7 cm)

Due to the curvature of the screen, the Samsung CF398 is thicker than most monitors. At that place is a small part of the stand that cannot be removed, which may cause issues when VESA mounted.

Samsung CF398 Build Quality picture

Decent build quality overall. It is pretty basic, similar to the LG 24MP59G, and although it is entirely fabricated of plastic at that place shouldn't be any issues with it.

The Samsung C27F398 has excellent grey uniformity. The center of the screen is a chip brighter than the edges, but this shouldn't exist noticeable under near viewing conditions, and there is very little muddied screen effect. In near-black scenes, the uniformity is even better, and at that place are no problems.

Samsung CF398 Native Black Uniformity Picture

In this mode, there is some overshoot in a few transitions, and a small amount of undershoot in a few down transitions, but neither of these are meaning plenty to exist noticeable under most viewing weather.

Although the monitor's refresh rate can be increased to 72Hz, the response time was measured at 60Hz. At 72Hz the response time is probably a bit amend.
